Oakthorpe has been successfully involved in teacher training since 2002 and has a wealth of experience in mentoring trainees and delivering training.

Oakthorpe is the lead school in the 2Schools Consortium and it is partnered with a number of other schools where trainees are placed.  2Schools Consortium offers SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training), Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship and Assessment Only routes to qualified teacher status.
