Reception

We believe that our Early Years Curriculum promotes a love of learning, a willingness to explore and allows for personal growth in each and every child.

At Oakthorpe Primary School we are committed to giving our children the best start to their school journey. It allows our children to begin their school life in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. 

The class teachers in Reception are:

Butterflies Class: Miss Martin

Bumblebees Class: Mrs Norris and Mrs Corcoran

Their PE day is Thursday.

Children should come to school in their PE kit on their PE days.

Our staff team are available most days after school. Alternatively, please email the office, and they will direct your enquiry to the relevant member of staff. 

If you have any concerns, please speak to the class teacher first, before approaching the Phase Leader (Miss Martin). If you feel this hasn't solved your concern, please speak to the Deputy Headteacher before directing your concern to the Headteacher.
