Throughout the school year we arrange a wide range of events for the children at Oakthorpe.

If we listed them all it would be a very long list!

We do this to ensure that all children have access to a wide range of personal development opportunities. We want our pupils to access a wide set of experiences and have the opportunity to develop their talents and interests.

The following are some examples:

• Book Week, Art Week, Science week and Health, Fun and Fitness Week.
• Cinema trip for Yrs 1, 2, 3 & 4
• Performance opportunities for all children
• Dance Festival participation
• Sports Days
• Whole class instrumental lessons
• Carol singing
• Theatre trip to the Millfield Theatre
